Fake RKKA Shooting Badges

Here is a 1920ties RKKA Excellent Shooting Badge that I picked up.

It is the longer and rarer version.

It is in great condition.

I just love this badge with its large star and great impression of a Red Soldier.

RKKA Best Marksman

Guys,
This RKKA Best Marksman Badge is at the moment for sale, What would one of these early Badges be worth?
They don't seem to turn up that often.
Do you think it is Original? I can't seem to make out a mint name on this one unlike the one Chris posted above.

Thanks for any views,

Eddie.

It looks like the metal plate holding the pin is "egg shaped". The real ones I have seen always have a round plate stamped MONDVOR. Not saying that the one Chris posted is real, we all saw his collection.. I wouldn't get this without a good return policy from the seller.

It is a rare badge. The combination military and sniper should give a price over 150$, probably over 200$. Then again I'm only guessing.

Thanks Kim,
Do you think that the pin plate could have been damaged/broken off because the pin itself isn't straight, and then repaired?
If it was repaired it looks to be an early one.
If this was the case how would that affect the price?

Eddie.

These badges seem to have been made in a variety of places so the oval bit does not bother me. That said I would not buy anything over $50 without a return policy/from a dealer I trust.

Speaking of prices. I have one of these with no/no chain or hanger and a bit of enamel damage. I wnder what it is worth. A good deal less I suppose but it is nice to know it is a rare badge.

It's not impossible that the original plate broke of. I have one that only have traces of the pin plate. My badge also has a repleced top part. It should have the rectangular like these, but instead it has a hammer/sickle star like on the medics badge.

Unknown Badge/Award

I hope that I have posted this htread in the correct section - my apologies if not. I am new to collecting Soviet items and to the Forum.

I have recently acquired the badge illustrated - sorry for quality of my photos. Badge is 5cms deep and struck in brass, with red and white enamelling. Fixing is screw-back. Inscription reads "ЗА ОТЛИЧНУЮ СТРЕЛЬБУ, which, if the translation I have is correct, is for outstanding shooting.

Please could anyone date the item for me. I am at a complete loss fitting it into a time frame.

For excellent shooting

If I remember right the badge "For excellent shooting" was founded in the year 1928.

Andreas is correct. It was setup in 1928. It comes either pinback or screwback.
