A divizion is a battalion-sized artillery or armor unit, what the Germans call an Abteilung.

врид = temporarily filling the position...
I just dumped the abbreviation врид into multitran.ru, and came back with a notation that this is an abbreviation that can mean "temporarily filling the position". That would make sense here - in effect, "in temporary command of the unit/battalion/section/whatever".

Wagner,
The first document is an Order Booklet given to Krutikhin, Afanassy Mikhailovich; he was awarded an Order of Glory 3rd class. Marc |

There is no indication of that at all on the document. Marc |

Hello, Wagner,
The second document is a Ukrainian award booklet dated June or July (could be May?) 1928. Unfortunately, my Ukrainian is gone completely, it's been a long time. Surprisingly, there seems to be no indication of the award itself; from what I can see the booklet says 'a badge'. I suggest you contact AlexF (a member of this forum) for a clarification. He is certainly more familiar with items like that. Sergei Last edited by Sergei; 04-29-2008 at 09:51 PM. Reason: misspelled |
