Current uniforms?
Can anybody help me find (any) info on the composition (authorized components, patches, etc.) of this uniform?

It kind of reminds me of these M94 and M97 VDV uniforms. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any info on that one. Seems more recent than any of my references.

I forgot to mention that it is a picture of a MVD Spetsnaz unit in some sort of parade. Spetsnaz uniforms I think either ARE VDV uniforms, or are based on them.

Also they sometimes wear MVD specific patterns that are disimilar to the VSR uniforms, Such as Tigerstripe and Partizan. "Flora" BDU

The captain appears to not be wearing the blood type patch on his left chest. Any idea to where he would be wearing it if he even is?

Dog Tags
Well if not on the uniform at all the Blood group will certainly be on his Dog Tags. Strictly speaking he should have one sewn on as do the others, it is standard to have it on all types of combat gear.
Eddie.

OK, now on to dress uniforms
Since the Russian uniforms have chest pockets, the academy badge is shown below worn on the pocket. Now, how would a russian guards badge be worn with an academy badge?

Guards Badge
On the same pocket in a straight line and to the right most likely.
Eddie.

To its own left, or the viewer's right

No, I meant Russian, not Soviet. I know the guards badge is to the viewer's left of the Academy badge. However Russian uniforms have pockets and the academy badge is centered on the pocket if worn alone. I was wondering if the academy badge would be moved left and the guards badge would be place to the right of it, or the guards badge would be mounted off the pocket. But Eddie answered that already.
