Re: Prices/Value Discussion.

An update on the falling prices.

A supplier of mine has dropped the prices of ALL items by 35-40%. I don't see this as a short term bubble, nor do I see it as the bottom of the slump.

Remember to adjust your budget accordingly.

Re: Prices/Value Discussion.

Well, I've been out of touch with market for couple of years now, and wondering if there is a legit place left to buy medals and orders anymore. Back in the days this forum was the birthplace of my collection. Now days .....???

Re: Prices/Value Discussion.

Still this forum. Prices have tumbled tremendously in the last year so adjust your wallet accordingly. Researched Medals For Bravery $10? Yes please!

Re: Prices/Value Discussion.

Thanks Ctahhr, what I meant was, is there any reputable sites left besides this forum.
Once in a while I drop in on ebay and I get horrified by the garbage in there.

Re: Prices/Value Discussion.

The answer is "how long is a piece of string", Considerably less than 8 years ago but still negligible.

Without proper information you can insure against nothing.

Re: Prices/Value Discussion.

Definitely a buyer's market out there. Seems to be much more supply coming from the former USSR as well, for all the obvious economic and political reasons. Interestingly, prices on Russia coins have not softened as much as those on militaria.
