Order Of Precedence
These are currently the awards that the Vietnamese government, council of ministers have awarded to the people and army for their outstanding feats in the cause of fighting, constructing, safeguarding the fatherland from 1946 onwards– under Article 100 of the Constitution of Vietnam.
Orders and decorations were designed in 1947 by the Vietnamese artists. Incorperating features from the Orders and medals of France, Soviet Union, and China and were then submitted to and approved by President Ho Chi Minh. The initial orders and decorations were made in China instead of Vietnam since it was during a time of critical war. Later, Orders and decorations were domestically made by the Vietnam People’s Army. There are 17 official Orders 1. Gold Star Order 2. Ho Chi Minh Order 3. Fatherland Order 4. Independence Order 5. Bulwark Order (Brass Fortress) 6. Military Exploits Order 7. Military Achievement Liberation Order 8. Labour Order 9. Vietnam Liberation Troop Order 10. Victory Order 11. Exploits Order 12. Liberation Exploits Order 13. Resistance War Order 14. “ Soldier of Glory” Order 15. Liberation Soldier Order 16. Liberation Order 17. Fatherland Safeguard Order And 13 Decorations 1. Fatherland-Awarded Decoration 2. People’s Armed Forces Hero Decoration 3. Liberation People’s Armed Forces Hero Decoration 4. Heroic Vietnamese Mother Decoration 5. Heroic Labour Decoration 6. Vietnam Liberation Troop Decoration 7. Resistance War Decoration 8. “ Soldier of Glory” Decoration 9. Victory Decoration 10. Liberation Decoration 11. “ Resolution for Victory” Decoration 12. Liberation Soldier Decoration 13.
