Deputy Badges Of Azerbaijan SSR
Here is a scan of the different variations of the badge of deputy of Azeri ssr. I have the booklets that go with them. I am missing the first version of the badge, which is in Arabic.
Tomorrow, i will post some badges of Adjarian, Georgian and Abkhazian republic badges. There are some really rare ones out there, such as Bashkorstan SSr Deputy's badge Sasha, Last edited by CtahhR; 02-12-2012 at 01:38 PM. |

Guys,
As much as I hate this business practice, I should remind you that we are here to discuss badges, and not dealers. Alexei |

Dates for badges
You have books so you would know some of the dates. All red with latin 1938 - 1947. All red with cyrillic - 1947 - 1952+ 2nd - 3rd convocation. The flag changed to red/blue in 1952 and the badges would have changed as well. The red/blue would have changed to use "J" in either 59 or 63, with Khrushchev and localization policy of use of local language. (Approximately 62) Smaller flag was instituted in 63 or 67. Can you verify that last?
Earlier there were TsIK Central Executive Committee badges. At least 4 different badges are known. One in Arabic/Cyrillic, two latin/cyrillic and one alll Latin. My Scans are too large to show those yet. I'll do some reducing. |

Hi Aharim,
Welcome to the forum, looking forward to seeing your images. If any problems arise with resizing images, E-mail them to me I'll see what I can do. Also I'm sure Art would help if you contact him. Regards Eddie.

Second series
The second series of badges contain two georgian and three abkhazia. The "h" letter with two humps is an "R" in georgian. There would need to be one of those in the name of the name of the republic for Adjara. The red badge is Abhazia with the second letter (looks like a "9" with two loops) being a Georgian "P" for "Apsnia" Georgian for Abkhazia, or thereabout. In the Caucasas both Armenian and Georgia the "P" and "B" are frequently interchanged. I think it is 2nd convocation - 1947 - 1951. Large relief Hammer and sickle. THe green/white/red is post soviet following the design of the 1920's flag for the mountain republic (Gorskoi).
