Re: Help needed with Document
I thought so, but I'm trying to live more by the expression: "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.";)

Request for translation help!
I THINK that I have copied this Russian phrase correctly, but I am not certain, because I have a difficult time with the cursive or lower-case Russian alphabet, and this phrase as it was printed used lower case or cursive letters.
It is a description of a Soviet Navy banner, but I am not certain of the specifics. Any help would be greatly appreciated ! знамя бойскобых частей и соеднений вмф |

Re: Request for translation help!
I'd say "Banner of Soviet naval units and formations". It's just a small detail, but chasti denotes units and soyedinenia formations. Just like in English the two together cover all sizes; in the army for example everything from platoon up to brigade level is a unit and everything from brigade level upwards is a formation.

Re: Help with abbreviation/terminology, please
I'm sure the location can be found through the reference number (1783) but that's far beyond my own knowledge and references. Someone out there will know.
