Medal "9th Division".

The Medal "9th Division" was instituted in commemoration of service in the 9th "Pleven" Infantry Division during the Great War. The 9th Division was based around the town of Dojran for the duration and saw some of the heaviest fighting of the Balkan campaigns. The Medal is constructed from zinc and is fairly poor in construction exposing the devastated condition of the Bulgarian economy after the war.

Here is the first type Medal which features the bayoneting of an enemy on the front and the reverse list victorious battles of the 9th Division.

Re: Medal "9th Division".

Here is Type 2 which has a less violent scene on the front and a slightly different list of victories on the reverse.
