Doug,

Did that article discuss the Soviet bayonet which incorporated the wire fence cutter when the bayonet was affixed to the sheath? I think this was the only copy of SOF I ever purchased. Man that was a great article!

On second thought, probably not..I think this must have been 1981 or 1982.

Some of those old SoF's were fun reading..

It was that article, but it had to be 1986 or later; i don't think as a 9 year old i bought it in 1982, but who knows; would be great to find again....i THINK it had a scene from Platoon on the cover.

Just this morning I saw similar bayonet on polish auction service and it was described as Soviet.
I also tried to ask someone better infeormed (then me) and, although he didn't know if this is realy soviet, he knew it obviously was not Czech/Polish/DDR/Cuban (as he had described characteristics of them all).

Is it possible that it is soviet (Bulgaria lies quite far away from here...)?
