Whilst looking for some British Naval Intelligence reports on the Soviet Union from 1940 (which I'm unable to find) I stumbled across this October 1942 first edition of the book "The Liberators" by Squadron Leader Philip Guedalla published by Hodder And Stoughton.

The list of chapters are as follows;
Cromwell
Penn
Burke
Jefferson
Miranda
San Martin
Gladstone
Garibaldi
Shaftesbury
Clemenceau
Lenin
Masaryk
Roosevelt
Churchill
With an introduction ending "Two names have been added to my list of a dozen Liberators from Cromwell to Lenin, because I felt that Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill will leave the world a good deal freer than they found it two years ago".

A rather interesting war time history that glorifies Lenin, FDR and Winnie but not the new ally "Uncle Joe".
