There is Leningrad Mint -mark on the both sides of the ring.

Re: Badge "50 Years Of The State Union Design Bureau Of Special Machine-Construction"

This is the Badge "50 Years Of The State Union Design Bureau Of Special Machine-Construction", dating from June 1991. The "Special Design Bureau" was created on 30th June 1941 to develop Katjusha rockets and then after capturing German rockets, progressed to copying them. It was renamed the "State Union Design Bureau Of Special Machine-Construction" in August 1946 and then "Design Bureau Of General Machine-Building" in 1967. It was headed by Vladimir Barmin for that 50 years (until his death in 1993) and was responsible for designing and building Bajkonur and designing the abandoned Soviet Moon Base project amongst a great deal more projects that shaped the space race.
