Could it be that the serial numbers could not go passed let's say 999,999, and then restarted all over again with a letter in the front?

They are GTO badges. The large one is probably from the the 1940's. The small one is related to air defense, and could be from the late 1930's. Marc |

Thats was quick! These are war souvenirs of the Finn soldier, i bought them from his son. I'm not familiar with that GTO thing,what does it mean?

Do you know meaning of the letters around CCCP text in that square box above the GTO mark? I have seen some with only CCCP text...

I believe the top "TsIK" is "Central Executive Committee" and the first two letters of the bottom "VS" should be "All-Union" and maybe the bottom "FK" is "fizkultura" or "physical training".
