Here is a pair to Vasili Fedot Doljenco. A participant of the liberation of the Moldavian SSR in 1944 that lived for at least another 71 years.
Although the Commemorative Medals are often disregarded by many collectors, these are some of the rarest awards connected to participation in the war. Only 736 of the first and 2,000 of the second - If a Soviet award has a variation of just that little people go crazy.

Re: Vasili Fedot Doljenco, Liberator.
The first of the pair is the Jubilee Medal "60 Years Of The Liberation Of Moldova From Fascist Occupation".

Re: Vasili Fedot Doljenco, Liberator.
The second is the Commemorative Medal "70 Years Of Victory Over Fascism In The Second World War". The budget set for each of these awards to be produced and issued was just over $15 a piece - Exactly 2,000 were to be produced and awarded.
The higher than usual budget is quite telling as these Medals are of a similar quality to other non-Commemorative State Medals. The previous Medal is of a poorer quality.

Re: Vasili Fedot Doljenco, Liberator.
Awarded by Decree #1524-VII on 16th April 2015.
The list of the 2,000 recipients have not been made public, this is due mainly to the change from "1941" to "1939" as the starting date and controversy around the previous Commemorative Cross.
