Badge "50th Anniversary Of The New Woman".
This gilt badge commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Womens Association for the Building of Security for the Fatherland. (NGUOI PHU MOI XAY DUNG BAO VE TO QUOC) The badge shows a map of Vietnam, a women with a shouldered rifle and stylized wheat and factory building.
During Vietnam's many conflicts women have played key roles in the NLF, PAVN, industry and farming, earning some of the highest awards including the Military Exploits Order and the Hero of Labour Decoration.
