re: #18. Cross of Valour 1943
Commonly faked, but original pieces are available. Undocumented ones can even be bought for 150PLN If You are lucky, but they are often more expensive (usually twice as much).
A late issue/reissue document (later than ca. 1960) may cost around 100PLN, a doc from 40's/50's - 100-300PLN, a doc of first post-war type (very ornate, similar style to that of e.g. Grunwald Badge) no less than 300PLN and a temporary certificate from 40's (which theoretically is much more rare than the ornate one!) 200-300PLN. However, I have purchesed Katański's set for ca.200PLN and the doc is from early 50's. Nothing is certain... 1USD=~3,5PLN currently. |

re: #18. Cross of Valour 1943
Thanks Al-muell!
All the info is really great to buy correctly wit a proper price :) And about fakes? I can see if the ribbon is perfect, but without document, it´s hard to see if the medal it´s good or fake (at least, for me). Is there any way to know the good one? Thanks again!!! re: #18. Cross of Valour 1943
I must admitt I am a bit of an ignorant when it comes to the authenticity awards - I buy only as part of groups or from reliable sellers. And if I have doubts - there are people You can ask, but that is at the risk of making them interested if the award turns out to be a scarcier variation...
If You have a good photograph of both obverse and reverse, I can ask, but it always takes time to get a response. |

Thank you very much Al-muell, you´re so kind! Once I find one, i´ll ask you, ok? I know it´s a hard decission to show a good piece, but sometimes is neccesarry. Let´s cross my fingers to meet "good" people :D
