Mosin-Naganth 1st pattern bayonet

It's difficult to show something that hasn't been disgust in here. But today I have a thingy for you, a really rare thingy.

A Bayonet for Mosin-Nagant 91/30 1st pattern.

As you know in 1926 the group of engineers start to work on enhancement of Mossin rifle. Group was leaded by E.K. Kabakow & I.A. Komaritcki.

P.K. Panshin was one of the group engineers. He has designed the sight guard for new bayonet. (this is why sometimes it mistakenly called Panshin's bayonet).

This bayonets didn't last in production, it was simplified into well known Mosin-Nagant 91/30 bayonet. (Which is in fact the 2nd pattern of Kabakow & Kamritcki creation/enhancement).

Most of this bayonets with sight guard were used in the Winter War. Saw couple of dug ones from Mannerheim Line last year, for sale from diggers.

:cheers
