Red Cross Medal "For Gratitude"
The Red Cross Medal "For Gratitude" („За Признательность“) was founded 15th February 1918 for merit or contribution to the Bulgarian Red Cross. The Medal was originally only in Bronze and Silver but prior to entry into the second world war a Gold Medal was instituted.
Here is the Silver Medal with original case.

The Silver Medal was awarded to Lieutenant-Colonel Ilija S. Marinov of Sofia on 17th July 1939. The document is a re-purposing of a left over "European War" Honour Badge piece.
