Senior Sergeant I.N. Koshlyakov has been serving as aircraft mechanic with the 68th Aviation Garrison Headquarters since July 1941. During this entire period he carried out all tasks assigned to him by the command in an excellent manner. Working on the airfield in the city of Volchansk for the entire summer of 1941, comrade I.N. Koshlyakov worked with all of his efforts on guaranteeing the trouble-free operation of a detachment of Douglas aircraft.

When the Headquarters supported the 506th Aviation Regiment on Rogan airfield, Senior Sergeant I.N. Koshlyakov, who was repairing aircraft in the mobile aircraft repair workshop, carried out his assignments at 200–250%. While the Headquarters were servicing the 136th Aviation Regiment, comrade Koshlyakov skillfully and quickly carried out the task assigned to him by the command to dispatch a number of aircraft engines to a depot. From January 20 to February 25, 1942 Senior Sergeant Koshlyakov, carried out the task assigned to him by the command to render technical assistance to two combat aircraft of the 90th Independent Aviation Squadron, which had performed an emergency landing.

Despite the lack of a series of essential tools, comrade Koshlyakov displayed initiatives and skills and rendered valuable assistance in preparing aircraft for takeoff. For the last two months Senior Sergeant Koshlyakov has been serving as the head of the mobile aircraft repair workshop, and also successfully organized the ongoing duties of servicing the aircraft of the Detachment of Heavy Aircraft. For his quick reparation of a series of components of two TB-3 heavy aircraft, which enabled these aircraft to fly missions again in a timely manner, comrade Koshlyakov received an expression of gratitude from the commander of the Detachment of Heavy Aircraft of the Southwestern Front.

Comrade I.N. Koshlyakov is an exemplary and disciplined junior commander who is dedicated to the Party of Lenin and Stalin and the socialist motherland. He completely deserves the Medal for Combat Merit.
