A couple of Dynamo honour badge groupings here. The especially interesting thing with both is that, at the Gold level, the documents are hand signed by Minister Mielke.

This first group belongs to Friedrich "Fritz" Neuholz and contains full sized badges, miniature badges and documents for all 3 levels. The Bronze badges were issued in 1961, the Silver in 1968 and the Gold in 1977. Note that the Gold badge has it's original hard case (the miniature is pinned to the inside). Compare Mielke's actual signature on the Gold doc to his stamped signature on the Silver. While the tri-coloured flag forms the base design of earlier badges, the badges issued after 1973 had the red flag.

This next group belongs to Eberhard Grimm and has full sized badges and documents for Silver and Gold levels (wonder where the Bronze is). The Silver badge was awarded in 1973 (you'll have to trust me on this as the doc date is obscured in the photo) and the Gold in 1979. Both badges are post-'73 and are the "red flag" type.

Through research on my own, and with the help of my good friend Dirk, I've been able to find a couple of images of Eberhard Grimm. He was the primary (first string) goalie on the S.V. Dynamo ice hockey team. This composite image shows the '58 team (top) and the '63 team (bottom).

I was also able to find this image of Friedrich Neuholz, a teacher/instructor at a rather large sports gymnasium in Halle (which is the location listed on his bronze document). From other photos at the same site, it seems the emphasis was on both track and field and gymnastics. Here, he is shown with a few of his students in the very early '70's.
