This seems to confirm that the Dealer can supply unissued Medals.
This Medal also looks OK, what do you think?

From the scan it looks like there was a serial number, which was erased. Is it true, or does my monitor need cleaning?

I don,t think it,s your monitor, it shows up on mine as well.
I don,t really see any reason why they should erase the Serial number do you?
Anyway I,m contemplating making a bid for it,if I win the Auction I,ll be able to have a closer look.
I,ve asked nicely if it would be possible to send more scans but judging by his response last time he probably can,t or won,t E-Mail any.
He,s more than likely cheesed off about the going price of his Free Russia Medal which I think was a good Bargain :D His starting price is now €19,00!
Apart from that point of the Serial Nummber how does it look to you?

Eddie,

They sometimes do it to protect the recipient's identity. If that's the case there is a good chance the medal is genuine.

a military dealer just offered me this medal, but I do not know it at all !?

Is it a post - Soviet one ?

Jens,

It is post Soviet medal for preserving public order (given to MVD, militia, police etc.). It is also heavily faked medal.

Jens, I'd need to see a picture of the reverse to be able to tell you for sure. The final RF version has a "No." and a raised line for the award number and should have a mint mark just below that. Most copies do not go that far.
