Stalin Badges
This badge is 29 mm x 32 mm. Two piece construction. Silvered copper and red enamel. It is a screwback and the plate is 16,5 mm and also in copper.
The badge is listed in Avers # 2, no. 1157. Dated to 1936. I would like to know some more about this badge. Was it made for a party congress? I don't collect badges, but picked this up in St. Petersburg 10 years ago for a few dollars. All information is welcome.

Kjetil Kvist,
I am not sure, but I believe it was just a commemorative badge, one of those that the Soviets used to wear to show their support of their beloved lieders. Alexei |

I agree with Alexei, but it is a nice badge with what appears to be nice enamel work.

Gentlemen,
Here's another Stalin badge: ... comes on a very old ribbon, that says: "Stalin's Shock Worker" Alexei Last edited by CtahhR; 11-27-2012 at 03:45 PM. |

Nice
I would really like to see a picture of the worker that earned this!
Moderation was not a key word...:)

Re: Another Badge with Stalin
No slogans, no signifying markings, no mint mark on the screw plate, no idea really. Even if there is some kind of mint mark under the screw plate on the back, all I'll be able to tell you is who made it. It's brass so I'd say late 40s through early 60s. Other than that, it seems rather generic. The shape sort of reminds me of some ВЛКСМ badges, but they always had their name somewhere. Sorry.

Re: Another Badge with Stalin
I'm not sure about this, but the badge has a certain "look/feel" to it. I think it may be a "death" badge. As Stalin died in '53, the badge certainly fits into that period. My guess, anyway... nice badge.

Re: Another Badge with Stalin
All it says is: "Badge with depiction of Stalin - 1940s; brass, enamel, screw (back)." Oh, and some outrageous price that no one in his or her right mind would pay.
