Glorious Soldier Decoration.
This PAVN, one class decoration should, once again not be confused with the order of the same name. Although the award is identical to the Order it is actualy smaller in size and suspended on the ribbon bar suspension. the SRV flag is inscribed QUYET THANG (Resolved to Win) with CHIEN SI VE-VANG (Soldier of Glory) below.
Awarded for 3-5 years exemplary discipline while in service with the PAVN.

As of 26th November 2003 the Glorious Soldier Decoration has had three classes and the award criteria has been changed. Whereas previously a recipient had to have had 3-5 years service and a commendation for the single class decoration, the 1st Class is awarded for 15 years service, 2nd for 10 and 3rd for 5.
This is the 3rd Class.
