Soviet Combat Merit Medal (unnumbered)


The Soviet Combat Merit Medal was awarded by the Ukaz of 8.9.69 for WW2/post-war cooperation on the 25th anniversary of the Communist Bulgarian revolution/coup. I was able to get a copy of the Ukaz and confirm the award. The only other medal I've seen from this Ukaz was a Red Star posted on another forum (I think the thread has been deleted, unfortunately).

This group was nearly split and survived two months in the postal system, but it's safe now!

I'll post all the documents one per message. Sorry for the length but that's the way the resizing worked out. If anyone would like more scans, please let me know. Nice set of awards. As for the double awarding, this is just a guess, but maybe one was for him as a military figure and the other as a civilian. This is purely a guess based on the way the recipient's name was put on the card - first with his rank and then without. It's the only thing I can see.
