KGB secret air force wings....

Haven't you heard about the KGB's airforce? Well, it was so secret...

Read and laugh (or cry - your choice)

"Russian KGB AIR FORCES Pilot's wings "

"This is a complete set of 4 pilot's wings for the new Russian Air Forces. I didn't see such wings before. The strange thing is the color of the shield - royal blue! We all know that this is the color of KGB troops. And it was left after them in the new Russian Army. For the same token both KGB (new name - FSB) and Military Intel made several new badges for their regiments. And, of course, KGB does have it's own airplanes. So the guess that this nice set of wings belongs to KGB Air Forces makes sense! The set consists of Master, 1st, 2nd, 3rd classes. The badges are very heavy, 3 piece construction. Please pay attention on the combination of silver and gold colors of pieces. This must have some meaning, but I don't know it today. "

Tal,

LOL! This guy never stops to amaze me! And why not KGB Nuclear Submarine Force...

These are current Russian issue officer's classification badges for all branches. BTW, unlike other modern Russian junk badges they are very nicely constructed, and have good enamel.

Tal,

They are made of several pieces, held together by a screw, which for some reason often gets loose.

Skip,

Hmmm... That's interesting. A variation?, late issue? I have never seen them before. Could you please post the reverse.
