Fake NKGB stamp in use

This is a scan of the bottom corner of the final grade roster I turned in for my class this semester. I was so angry at all the paperwork and bureaucratic non-sense that I added the "М. П." and then stamped it with what I know much be a copy of an NKGB stamp that I have.

The sad thing is that this sort of thing could easily fool an untrained eye. I have a regular KGB departmental stamp along the same lines, but it too only has 10 republic banners :chuckle (but the center state seal comes out clear enough to tell ). These are the kinds of things we need to remove from the market when we have a chance like I did. It may cost a few dollars, but it could save someone else many more.

Re: Fake NKGB stamp in use

Hi Phil,

Forgive my ignorance but what does the M. P. stand for? I have seen it on many documents and always wondered.

I already got a call from the administration. It seems we have someone in the records department from Bulgaria and she didn't think it was funny...Well, not too sound insensitive, but that made me laugh even more.:D

Sad. Even a harmless little joke will piss off some humorless idiot somewhere down the line. What a unfunny world we live in.
At least I appreciate the initial attempt! :thumbsup

Love this! "Bureaucrats of all countries, incorporate!" for those not in the know.

Phillip,

I told this story to a colleague (after getting something bounced by the controller here for lack of a "wet sig"...), and he wants a stamp for his personal use. :thumbsup

It does make for a good inside joke (except as Eric pointed out, for people with no sense of humor).:) Every now and then somebody in Germany puts some of these copies up on the auction site.
