Suvorov III,9341,Regimental Commander,104th Infantry Division,United States Army

I recently acquired the US valorous award document group to Col John H. Cochran, who served as a Regimental Commander in the 104th Infantry Division during WWII. He was highly decorated, earning the Silver Star and two Bronze Stars. His military record also indicates the Order of Suvorov III Class award, and here is the document that was in the group. I am told the signature is that of Marshal Konev. I'm curious if members have ever seen a document like this before, and am also interested in conducting additional research on it. I would also like to establish a value, although I don't intend to split up the group.

Awarded by the 1st Ukrainian Front 13th May 1945 to Colonel "Dzhon H. Kokran". Suvorov III #9341.

Price is whatever anyone is willing to pay. If in a group that won't be split it is worth whatever anyone is willing to pay for the group. Without the actual matching serial numbered award the value will be significantly less than with.

Wow! Thanks for the quick response, and this is quite a nice forum you have here! The grouping consists only of documents I'm afraid. Here are just a few of Cochran's US documents: Silver Star, Bronze Star, Bronze Star Oak Leaf, Legion of Merit and Combat Infantryman's Badge (CIB). Also, his recommendation for promotion to Brigadier General from General Terry Allen, CG of the 104th ID. Allen was also awarded the Order of Suvorov II Class. The 104th was one of the US divisions that linked up w/ the Red Army in Spring 1945.

Thought I would add this. The original orders for Cochran's award...

...I plan on bringing this group to the Show of Shows to sell if anyone is interested in seeing it in person....
