Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
While accomplishing his responsibilities as a machinegunner in fighting to expand the bridgehead on the Vistula’s western shore on 15th August, 1944 in Tiyanki Region, his fire supported the infantry’s advance and destroyed and dispersed as many as 15 enemy soldiers and suppressed an enemy firing position.
On 26th August, 1944 he also participated in combat near Dobroslavuv where by his accurate fire he enabled the unit’s mission accomplishment. He was wounded in this engagement. After his recuperation he returned to the company.
He is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.
