Commemorative Medal "Mihail Takev 1864-1920".

Here is the Commemorative Medal "Mihail Takev 1864-1920". A very simple piece in honour of the assassination of Mihail Takev on 24th January 1920.
Takev was a prominent member of the Democratic Party and served as Ministry Of Internal Affairs from 29th January 1908 to 18th September 1910 (the first of the Tsardom), Minister Of Public Buildings, Roads And Communications from 18th September 1910 - 29th March 1911 and Minister Of Internal Affairs And National Health from 21st June 1918 to 28th November 1918 (during the treaties and defeat in the European War).

Takev was assassinated on the eve of elections by Georgi Donski acting on behalf on the Agrarian People's Union, just one of many political assassinations that became frequent in Bulgarian politics in the first half on the 20th century.

Here is an autographed photograph from 1908. Very similar to the image on the Medal.
