14th April 1944 Line Supervisor Corporal Tanankin, Petr Jakovlevich was found at the Observation Point of the Commander of the 57th Rifle Corps in the region of Parkany.
In result of heavy enemy artillery and aerial bombing the line of communications was broken.
Corporal Tanankin, despite of a whirlwind of artillery fire, searched the line and repaired 8 breaks.
At the same time there was damaged to the communications to the crossing. Comrade Tananakin voluntarily recoiled the line and in under 10 minutes repaired 4 breaks that gave the opportunity for the commander of the 57th Rifle Corps to have uninterrupted communications with the command and crossing.
