Short, concrete description of his combat feat or merits:

Throughout the period she has been serving in the signal battalion as a senior telephone operator at the communications node of the divisional commander’s observation post, she showed herself an exceptionally disciplined, vigilant, and courageous signaller. During our units’ summer offensives near Sirotino and Smolvy and during the breakthrough of the enemy defenses along the Vekta River to the northwest of the city of Šiauliai on October 5, 1944, she showed herself an exemplary telephone operator and telephone line supervisor.

On November 1, 1944, near the town of Elkuzeme, comrade Bondar equipped the communications node of the 67th Guards Rifle Division’s commander’s forward observation post under enemy artillery and tank fire. Simultaneously she carried out her duties as a supervisor of the telephone line leading to the 196th Guards Rifle Division’s commander’s observation post. Under enemy artillery fire she repaired 6 breaks in the telephone line.

On November 5, 1944 comrade Bondar was on duty at the communications node of the divisional commander’s observation post near height 111.4. Coming to the rescue of her comrades, she repaired in the course of the night 3 breaks at the divisional commander’s forward observation post.

On November 19, 1944, to the south of Asites and Priekule, she repaired 2 breaks in the telephone line at the 199th Guards Rifle Regiment’s commander’s forward observation post.

On December 26, 1944 comrade Bondar was on duty at the 67th Guards Rifle Division’s commander’s forward observation post. During a nighttime enemy bombardment she repaired 4 breaks in the telephone line at the 67th Guards Rifle Division’s commander’s observation post. This enables the unit command to possess telephone communications and lead the troops in an efficient manner during a crucial period. On an everyday basis she endeavors in the best possible manner to provide the divisional command with excellent, uninterrupted communications.

Short, concrete description of his combat feat or merits:

Throughout the combat operation conducted between March 20 and April 3, 1945 near Pilsblidiene, Kukšas, Ini, and Adas she skillfully operated the switchboard at the communications node of the divisional commander’s observation post and displayed alertness.

On March 23, 1945 she came to the rescue of the exhausted telephone line supervisors who were responsible for the observation post’s interior communications. She was on switchboard duty for 18 hours a day. Comrade Bondar answers the callers politely and quickly connects the callers with superior or subordinate staffs.

On March 27, 1945, even though the telephone communications were overloaded, she efficiently and quickly connected the callers and was on duty for 16 hours.

On March 29, 1945 she was ordered to move the communications node across forest-clad and swampy terrain to a new location. Despite all of the difficulties comrade Bondar carried out her task in an excellent manner; she even helped in equipping the communications node and just like before she served the switchboard callers in an excellent manner.

She deserves the Order of the Red Star.
