Valiant Destroyer Of Armour Order.

The Valiant Destroyer Of Armour Order (Huân Chương Dũng Sĩ Diệt Cơ Giới) was one of two National Liberation Front Orders for destroying US hardware (the other being for destroying aircraft).

The Order was awarded specifically for destroying US land vehicles in three classes (dependent on quota).

This Award Banner was awarded to the 317th Company Of The Liberation Army for action at Đông Hà, Quảng Trị Province in 1968 (Where the US 3rd Marine Division was based) and reads "The National Front For The Liberation Of South Vietnam Award Board Awards The Valiant Destroyer Of Armour Order II Class To Unit 317 Liberation Army For Victory At Đông Hà, Quảng Trị 1968" (Mặt Trận Dân Tộc Giải Phóng Miền Nam Việt Nam Ban Khen Thưởng Thưởng Huân Chương Dũng Sĩ Diệt Cơ Giới Cấp II Đơn Vị: 317 Quân Giải Phóng Chiến Thắng Đông Hà-Quảng Trị 1968).
This was probably awarded for participation in an ambush on the 3rd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment in April 1968.
