Colonel Apostol Zafirov Apostolov.
Here is Colonel Apostol Zafirov Apostolov's group. A quite exceptional group that was split for sale - I managed to purchase the whole group.
1951-09-08 Order ''Red Banner'' #106 1953-09-28 Medal ''For Military Merit'' 1955-09-01 University Identification 1955-10-01 Honour Badge Of The Ministry Of Internal Affairs 1955-10-08 Order ''Red Banner'' 1969-09-05 Star ''For People's Liberty 1923-1944'' Bulgarian Partisan Antifascist Union Membership Apostolov's first award was a "Red Banner" #106 with a matching document. This is the lowest "Red Banner" with matching document I have ever encountered. This award will not have been a long service award so will be a good item to research.

Re: Colonel Apostol Zafirov Apostolov.
Apostolov's Medal "For Military Merit" was probably awarded for 5 years service.

Apostolov received his Honour Badge and second numbered "Red Banner" within a week. The "Red Banner" was probably awarded for 10 years service.

Re: Colonel Apostol Zafirov Apostolov.
To complete Apostolov's group is a pair of Anti-Fascist Badges.
