Re: Guards Badges
I think that's from the Airapetyan book 'Breast Badges of the Red Army 1941-45'. Good book! Igor sells 'em. (got mine on CDR)

Re: Guards Badges
Hi Eric,
Thanks for the tip. How can I be so stupid... I HAVE this book. It is on page 69, and page 70 shows some transitional badges, with "Rossia"... ;) Thanks again. Cheers. Ch. |

G'day Paul, Thanks for the 'happy snaps' of the СНТ Guards Badge. Have you purchased this badge? If you don't want it I would like to buy it......any chance? Thanks, again, for the great photos. Best regards, Jim |

Re: Guards Badges
Here's a really nice one that came in today. A GPW-era badge no doubt. :)
A bit of a repair on the back :p which gives it a 'rode hard, put away wet' look to it. :chuckle

G'day Bill,
What a little beauty! Very nice indeed. I too would like to see the reverse and especially the nut, thanks. Regards, Jim |

Re: Guards Badges
Eric,
I would suggest that you remove that verdigris or it will continue to eat up the metal. Alexei |

Re: Guards Badges
Will do. The usual soap, water and toothbrush? Or something more harsh?
