Badge "Peak Lenin".

I found this badge today. I liked it for a number of reasons, been up a few mountains in my time, and the No corresponds to the first 3 numbers of my Official Military Number.

It says Pik Lenin and is made of silver, really well done.

The number is 386

The spot height number on the badge is 7184

I believe she is right about the badge, but I don't think it's made of silver, maybe german silver.

You are the Guru's of Guru's on this site. But.

I have checked it with a jeweller’s kit to check metal content.

Also by looking closely with other medals/badges I have, which are bona fide Silver/Gold.

I never say silver or gold unless I have checked it due to the description given to medals that may only have silver or gold colour

German silver turns black on testing, I have a German Knights Cross which is made of German Silver and does just this. They where not all made of 800 + silver.

This checks out and is a fine badge.

Thanks for the information. Wow! You have never mentioned, that it was also made of gold, and I figured that silver and brass is an unusual combination for Soviet badges.

I believe the badge is made of Silver. The back is gold sprayed.
