"German made" NKVD holster
How's this for a "You've got to be kidding me" piece?
The seller claims it is a "tribute" holster made for the NKVD and the infamous Tokarev TT33 pistol. Now what makes it so interesting:rolleyes: is that he says it was made in Germany in 1949. Granted, there were some shady deals going on between the NKVD and the nazis before the Soviets got dragged into the war - the Gestapo was allegedly founded on the basis of the NKVD even. Moreover, the NKVD was especially keen on getting their hands on Soviet POWs and German records of these POWs. However, what is the likelyhood of having a defeated Germany produce a "tribute" holster for the very organization most feared by them? Oh, and the NKVD had been renamed the MVD since 1946. This smacks of those so-called NKVD medals that have the soldier firing his rifle from the reverse of the XX RKKA medal with the NKVD's sword and shield "egg" motif on the reverse. I should also add that this unbelievably rare item can be bought for less than $40. Wasn't the leather from the first cow in space? A cow that also won the Nobel chemistry prize in 1987.
What the seller also forgets to mention also is that if you rub it a genie comes out and you get three wishes (if you don't take too long). |

Re: "German made" NKVD holster
The Music industry took up nearly a decade of my life, so yeah definately a fan of Roger Waters.... Maybe this holster was found by him when the Berlin Wall was being destroyed?
