Excellent Border Guards badge
This badge was introduced in the 1957 to reward Border Guards. Worn until 1964.

Documents for the Badges in 1st & 2nd Class "Excellent Border Guard" issued to Igor Valentinovich Gavrilenko. The 2nd Class facsimile signed by Major General Ye. Neverovskiy.

Later issued Border Guard II Class badge document awarded to Warrant Officer Popunets.
The awarding organization got a little zealous with the censoring as even the stamp appears to be have been intentionally obscured by placing a piece of paper over the troop unit number. I would mention it was signed by Lieutenant Colonel B. Popov, but I may have to kill you... |

Photo reverse reads "Великие мосты"(Big Bridges), presumably a landmark or designation of a border crossing.
