My Medal Displays
Four of these are from Non-Communist Countries but included anyway. I use shadow boxes from Michael's to make my medal displays. These are all of them. I have notebooks of medals on the bookshelves.
In Order: Medals of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, A Researches Double Order of the Red Banner and Triple Order of the Red Star Group, Soviet Laborer's medals Group, Mongolian People's Republic, The Complete group of the People's Republic of Poland Order of Polonia Restituta, Pakistan, People's Republic of Poland, Republic of India (Post 1947), A complete set of Soviet Campaign Medals and various Orders, A Soviet husband and Wife Group with the OMSA Bronze Exhibit Medal I received for this display in the competition at the Annual Convention for this group, Syria and finally a complete set of Insignia of a Private in the KGB. First up: Medals of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, A Researches Double Order of the Red Banner and Triple Order of the Red Star Group, Soviet Laborer's medals Group. Re: My Medal Displays
Wow! Nice stuff, Doc! I like the Polish display and especially the Mongolian collection.
Also, the colored discs behind some items are nice touch. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Guys!!! I only have wallspace for three more displays and one space is for the Polish Order of Virtuti Militari once I pay off the Grand cross. There are also two displays a Replica of Saddam hussein's medal bar as seen in the portrait in the display and pieces of his bunker under his main palace in Baghdad and the Unknown Bulgarian Veteran of the First Balkan War which you've already seen.
The total display of the replica of Saddam's Medal Bar. Doc Last edited by CtahhR; 06-09-2014 at 03:18 PM. |

Re: My Medal Displays
Absolutely fantastic stuff Doc.
Ah, wall space...After I removed some family photos from the stairwell wall, I've been banned to my office only - with the exception of stand-alone frames. I especially like the way you label things and name the the orders that need to be (e.g. Service to the Motherland); it makes one feel as though they were in a museum - which to me is pretty much what this is all about. I got 3 su table medals (plagues): bronze; LMD strike; 60mm diameter. really want to frame them and hang on the wall, just can't figure it out, how to? If you got any experience or an idea, please share it. It is appreciated.
