Hi,
I am trying to find out what kind of tunic this is. Does anyone know who sells them? Thank you, Vasiliy Last edited by DougD; 10-03-2009 at 08:18 AM. Reason: Please see below for images of the tunic |

Re: Tunic I.D. help please.
Well, Im not sure if its alright to post eBay auctions, or maybe thats only if they are active? I think its cool, but not sure.
ANYWHO! :D The jacket is just a button down tunic from the 1960s, I am not sure what else I can tell you as for where to find them. A ton of fake stuff poors out of eastern Europe, but genuine stuff of the same type and time frame can be found on auction sites and private dealers. Send a PM to Tretov, he's got a site and everything, its insane, and he probably knows a ton more about uniforms then I do! :D And welcome to the forums by the way! |

Re: Tunic I.D. help please.
to me this particular uniform looks like an converted 1980's field uniform.
Especially the cubord is wierd, the white lining seems to be of plastic material. I would be suspicious of this tunic for that reason. Let's see what other people who are more into uniforms have to say. |

Re: Tunic I.D. help please.
I'm Ok with 60's vintage enlisted artillery parade mundir. Collar linings are variable but that white plastic piping is NOT. If it was for an active duty artillery sergeant, there really should not have any piping at all. I have a suvurov academy cadet uniform from the 60's-70's that has white plastic piping at the collar but it is much thinner and more subtle than that. So I think either this is a artillery parade tunic that has had the collar monkeyed with or it's a cadet tunic with the wrong epaulets. At least the price is right (though postage is a bit robust), especially if you get all the badges.

Re: Tunic I.D. help please.
It is to bad the date stamp is that vague ,, i would say the date is 1983r , but it is marrely guessing.
i could live with the demob option, i think it would look stunning. and white piping was often used through time. |
