You have to imagine that each of these rescues has their own story. Most likely newspaper articles if not even greater coverage. The problem is finding the articles...

My father was national news in Australia for a rescue and all that remains of the story is a very worn clipping and the legend. There was film once upon a time but it is doubtful to have survived.

Maybe these rescue stories will present themselves one day. It certainly seems like the sort of feat in which there was at least a citation somewhere.....
