Medal "Liberation From Under Fascist Yoke".

In an attempt to "showcase" Romanian Medals and show how easy it can be to start a collection I will post a series of Romanian Medals which were all purchased for $1 or less. Maybe someone will be inspired.

Here we have the Medal "Liberation From Under Fascist Yoke" (Medalia "Eliberarea De Sub Jugul Fascist") which was founded by decree #309 of 18th July 1949.

This Type 1 has the "RPR" reverse, the Type 2 (from 1965) reads "RSR".
