Here is the Order "For Patriotic Achievements", a simple continuation of the Communist Award. This 2nd Class has a very crudely adapted 3rd Class Ribbon.

Awarded to Jashar Zenelaj on 3rd June 1993 by Decree #547.

"Brave fighter of The Battle Of The Drin against Serbian Forces in the year 1913".

"The Battle Of The Drin" seems to be a somewhat ambivalent cover-all term for the very messy situation in the area during the the First Balkan War. Probably more specifically relating to the Siege Of Shkodër, in which a primarily Ottoman force, supported by about 4,000 Albanian volunteers was besieged by Serbian and Montenegrin forces until surrendering after nearly 6 months due to starvation. The Serbian-Montenegrin forces were also at the same time committing massacres throughout Lumë against the Albanian populations in the freshly declared Independent Albania, which was not yet recognised.

Zenelaj must have been one of the last, if not the last surviving Albanian participant of the First Balkan War by the time of this award, coming 80 years after the action.
