Re: M.N.C badge

This badge is for October Railroad Controler.

Oktyabrskaya Railway (branch of JSC "RZD") - the second-highest railway in Russia. Unites St. Petersburg and Moscow. The Office is located in St. Petersburg. The composition of the road infrastructure is up to the Leningrad station, the Moscow, including passing directly through the territory of Moscow region and the capital of Russia. Plot Oktyabrskaya Railroad St. Petersburg - Pavlovsk listed as World Heritage by UNESCO.
Oktyabrskaya Railway was established after the revolution on the basis of existing roads: Nicholas Railway after the nationalization in May 1918 were transferred to the People's Commissariat, after 1923 the road was renamed and became known as October.

Re: M.N.C badge

Nice badge.

How does the reverse of the badge look. It is a pinback, screwback or just a jeton.

best regards
Andreas

Re: M.N.C badge

Very nice! Does anyone know the period of this? There are certainly a grand selection of Railway badges with "new" ones popping up all the time.

Re: M.N.C badge

Sometimes the screwplate gives a hint about the time period.

Re: M.N.C badge

I would volunteer post-WWII 1940s period, in the late 1940s-early 1950s almost everything switched to pinback.. Just IMHO.
