I´ll say that the uniform is ok but the medals are added. it´s not the right ones on.

Latinmajorac,
I'd love to have a closer look at the boards. It could be a simple case of "upgrading" a general's jacket. Regardless, the price is rather steep, even at the starting bid. Marc |

Without promoting the sale any further, I sell that uniform -which is an artillery marshal- on behalf of a friend. I do not have the set closeby, but I can take a look at the boards if I get the chance. As for the price - I myself cannot afford it :-/ but on the other hand, that is not my problem either. If I remember right, the right side featured two OGPW 1, three Red star, some polish nicknack badge and a graduation badge from the zhukov(???) academy of ... whatever they do.

The problem with these tunics (sovvisor already dealt with the medals issue) is that it is very easy to 'upgrade' them from regular general to branch marshal. This is because there is no difference in the tunics themselves, other than the boards, which can be added from the stocks, or made now. I would not buy one of these without first inspecting the stitching of the boards to the tunic; the majority that are for sale are these dealer upgrades, rather than genuine branch marshals uniforms. I am not saying it about this one, but I would insist on a right of return if you do buy it...but the price, in my opinion, is crazy. Unless there are some very heavy duty orders on it, the uniform by itself is really not worth more than $800 or so. I am not sure how the price here was set.

F: Can you try to sell this uniform?
P: Sure. F: Fine. I want this (xxxx USD) for it. P: Er... Sure. If there is an interest, I can try to make some images of the inside stitching for the shoulderboards. I do honestly not have this uniform in my possession, but I can give it a try next week. Last edited by Tretov; 08-22-2006 at 09:19 AM. |

price
I think if someone asked me to sell a uniform at this price i would decline, as it would sort of imply that thought the price was ok and would hurt my reputation. But, to each his own. DD

just so you know i wasn't implyingt he uniform was fake and in no way was i trying to insinuate that it was. i just thought i would add that it is a beautiful iuniform if it is completely original and the branch boards aren't added. i was more curious about the starting price and BIN. it seemed a bit steep. as i said though, beautiful uniform!
