Here are the criterias for the Zhukov medal :

According to the decree #1334 of the President of the Russian Federation, of the 30 December 1995 :

Medal of Zhukov

1. This medal has been awarded to military men and civilians of the Red Army, the Navy, Armies of People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs, participants of guerillas and underground operations, for bravery and courage shown in operations against Germany and Japan. It commemorates the 100th anniversary of the date of Zhukov's birth.
The Basis for rewarding are the documents confirming direct participation in the GPW of 1941-1945, in the structure of a field army or in operations against Japan.

2. Zhukov's medal has been also awarded to military men of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, other ministries and departments in whom the legislation of the Russian Federation stipulates military service, for courage shown in operations of protection of the state interests of the Russian Federation.

The Zhukov medal have 3 Variation ( MMD - LMD - serial number )
The Document have 7 Variation
( Russian Federation - Kazakistan - Bielorussia - Ukraina - Moldova - Transnistria
and Doc with serial number )

Gentlemen here is the very Rare Zhukov medal with the serial number and document...

This is a slight deviation from the numbered discussion, but was something I noticed in the previous post.

I have seen multiple variations of this medal when it comes to mint marking. I have seen examples with LMD mark on the reverse of the eye and versions with the MMD marks centered at the bottom of the reverse. Do we know how many were produced at each mint?
