Military Justice Parade Uniform ?

Hello gents,

any thoughts to this uniform. In the jacket is no stamp or other marks.
On the backside of the buttons are dates "1951" and "1953"

It is my understanding that the branch color of militatry justice is a magenta, not blue. None of my justice stuff has blue on it. I, of course, am still a novice though.

Royal blue -> KGB. Perhaps a KGB justice clerk?

I would ahve thought that the shoulder boards would have a silver facing rather than gold.

Looks like MGB legal branch...could be wrong though; doubt very much its fantasy though. Stick with it, its an interesting tunic.

Which style of visor hat would fit to the jacket? The first one or the second ?

I would imagine you'd need a hat like the one I attached with an officer cockade.
This one is dated 1953

I could be wrong though...

As far as overall type goes, Rusty is right (although the oval cocade is for officers). The hats with the oval cocade were not introduced until later, 1955 I think. The hat Rusty pictured looks like airforce. I'm not sure what the MGB colors were--maybe same as old NKVD caps--blue top/red piped, with royal blue band?

These seems to be the right style of visor cap. But I think the big band should be royal blue instead of red.
