Commemorative Medal "Homeland War".
Spomenica domovinskog rata/ Homeland War Memorial Medal
The Homeland War Memorial Medal is a Croatian state medal awarded to both Croatians and foreigners who participated in the nation's Homeland War as a volunteer, part of the Croatian Army and Croatian Council of Defence or in some other role. The medal was widely granted, given to over 430,000 (430,884) people who participated in the war in some form.

Very nice indeed, a variation 2 example with the dates 1990-1992 on the reverse.
The variation 1 is shown at the start of this thread with Croatian interlace where the dates are. Super bargain :thumbsup Regards Eddie.

I know of three further variants of this medal which can be classed as prototype versions.
When this medal was first proposed the original draft design included on the obverse the Croatian initials, RH to the left and the dates 1990-1992 to the right of the central figure, the reverse was plain. These were omitted in the final production and placed on the reverse. The medal was also silver in appearance rather than bronze of the later medal. The triangular ribbon was the same red,white and blue however they ran straight. Regards Eddie

There is also an official miniature that comes in a fitted case with a full sized ribbon bar too.

The two other variations differ only in the ribbon colours, the medal itself has the final design.
These are documented in an article in the Croatian Army magazine hrvatski-vojnik. (Hrvatski vojnik - Internet izdanje) I have had no respose as of today to use the images of the prototype ribbons so they might have to be removed, however the link will remain as reference. As you can see the ribbons are blue and red with a gold interlace edge design. Maybe this was for a two class medal or to denote the branch of service, the reason is not 100% clear. Regards Eddie

As mentioned, although not a variation of the medal there is an offical miniature of the medal. The box would have included a full size ribbon bar.
