Re: What can you tell me about these two?

The other two images.
I'm also off to search through Avers8 for my own edification.

Re: Stalin era railway badge

Dear эксперты, how do you feel about this?
When I first got it I felt kinda strange about it but the more I look at it the more I feel better about it.
It's the reverse I have questions/concerns about:
What's with shiney reverse area? Is it, like, over-spray from silver plating?
It looks like the post has been re-soldered, yes?

I wonder how many more sites like this are out there in the Russian interwebs that monoglots like myself cannot find without the help of friends like you?

Amazing, I think I've identified mine as a Type 5.13.D! What a great resource! Thanks for showing me that.

I said elsewhere here, recently, that after some investigations I was feeling this award was not railway-related.
After perusing the above website I think that a great many of the badges were, indeed railway-related awards. Maybe not exclusivly but the general focus seems, to me at least, towards rewarding a specific part of the industrialisation of the SU during that time-frame and that part being railroad-related.

I also read elsewhere "This is the Rail Ways Peoples Commissariat awarding badge, founded in 1934 to award the best workers of department (best in socialist competition)." This from a well-regarded and knowledgable Russian collector

'The "Drummer of Stalin's call" approved in 1934 "to promote the best drummers, the organizers of socialist competition in rail transport", and awarded until 1957. During this time, the badge was awarded over 500,000 times. The Badge was manufactured at the stamping plant and Mechanical NKPS (ICS) (НКПС (МПС))and has many varieties. The badge is made of bronze, some parts covered with hot enamel, and had a screw fastening.' from: http://translate.googleusercontent.c...H6FNhbRsfrgmag

Also, an image of person wearing the badge in question: comrade Valentina Klintsova:

Re: Stalin era railway badge

Got this one for a song on my favorite online auction site. Love the big screwplate. Would someone be so kind as to identify the manufacturer for me, please?
I also think it a T5-21-A.

Re: Stalin era railway badge

The "Sh. M." Factory - maybe someone else can help.

Lower abbreviation is for "People's Commissariat of Lines of Communication."
