Re: Medal "For Victory Over Japan".

Here is what could be the holy grail for collectors of this Medal. Variation 4, with the omission of the award's name on the "front". These are found in the В serial range. This one is В№012345, a serial number that would raise eyebrows if it wasn't sourced from an impeccable source.

Awarded to Evgenija Romanovna Lescheva on 26th February 1979 by Fergana City Military Commissariat.

Re: Medal "For Victory Over Japan".

Lescheva was awarded a Medal "For Bravery" for her participation in the South Sahalin Offensive Operation as a cook for an Anti-Aircraft Battery of the 165th Rifle Division, 16th Army, Far Eastern Front between 9th and 18th August. At this time she will have been advancing to Koton (Pobedina).

Re: Medal "For Victory Over Japan".

Here is Д№067462 awarded to Red Navy Sailor Anton Ivanovich Kaptola on 24th July 1946 by the Commander of the 165th Separate Artillery Division although stamped "147th Separate Artillery Division Artem Sector Coastal Defence Pacific Fleet".

Possibly "complete".
