Zbytkovskij, Jaroslav Vasili'evich, Senior Lieutenant, 1st Shock Army
An interesting group Purchesed long ago, recently researched by podvignaroda site (to my surprise, as both of the researched awards were awarded post-war)
The group is incompleate - ORS and OPW2 are missing, as well as some badges and medals. Note that the BM from this Group was already shown in the "fake alert" section, as it has the number altered (last digit). To summarise: Yaroslav Zbytkovskiy, Ukrainian, born in 1922, joined the army in June 1941,served on the Kalinin Front and Voronezh Front. He was wounded on 9th August 1943 and after treatment sent to the rear to the training units. Despite the permanent negative effects of his wound, he remained in the army for a long time, most likely until 1973, when he retired holding the renk of Colonel. He later had something to do with the with the rural construction. So, let us start: 1.The overview of the group 2.The awards themselves (those in my possesion, that is) 3.Close-up of the BM and CSM obverses |

Re: Senior Leutenant Yaroslav Vasilievich Zbytkovskiy, 1st Shock Army
Interestingly, it seems he got his BM for exactly the same thing. And he was even to be awarded the same opw2. Possibly this happened due to his reasignment.
