M40 General's uniform on Ebay...any thoughts?

This is a m40 general's tunic for sale on Ebay. Is it just me or is this something to stay far away from? This seller has some more items up for sale, some good and some more questionable.

Any thoughts on this?

PM me if you want the auction number.

Those stars don't belong there. As far as I know.

The stars look exactly like ordinary shoulderboard stars, "1960-ties and ahead" style...

I think Doug summed it up when he said that original items such as this, do not need to be put on Ebay, they sell themselves.

M1940

The seller has a very poor reputation; that is issue #1. Even if I had no problems with the uniform ( though i do) i would be very wary about buying from him. It has been on E at least 3 times. If real, I would have clients fighting for it.

as for the uniform, its a repro, no debate. Made for re-enacting, the stars are, like Tretov said, from shoulderboards. The uniform is amodern made, god at a distance, but would not fool anyone who has ever had in a real M1940 general.

Thanks for all the replies!

I had no plans in buying this one. But I got a question about an other of his auctions with stuff I also thought was bad. Too bad that our hobby is infected with a**holes like this. I guess money will always attract them...

sellers

The seler could have some good stuff, but by selling so many repro items as real, he kills his own reputation. As a seller I know that reputation is everything!
